“Basking in the golden glow of late summer: a sunflower vignette. 🌻☀️ #LateSummerMagic”
When I went for my morning run today I had to wear light gloves; it was that cold.
I wore shorts, but my fingers would’ve been too cold without a little protection.
I am so mourning the departure of summer, as I do every year.
Luckily the store still has sunny yellow sunflowers to brighten my home.
I created a late summer vignette with sunflowers and a spray of tiny yellow flowers.
I love these beautiful, sunny flowers and decorate with them every year.
Later this week it’s going to get down to 50 degrees during the day.
I do love Fall, but I’m not a fan of what comes after it.
I added a few bits of green to my late summer vignette.
I took a spray of these little flowers and tucked them in a burlap sack.
There’s a small glass inside the burlap sack, so the flowers stay watered.
My little Patches decided to get in on the decorating fun.
Yes, she has one eye. She had an accident when she was younger but it hasn’t affected her.
She can still run around and jump on things … although she is getting old now.
I’m not quite ready yet for the darker Fall colors.
But for now, I think the yellow and green are pretty for a late Summer vignette.
