“Transform your garden effortlessly with these easy Shabby Chic garden pots! šæāØ #GardenMagic”
Flowering garden pots are a quick way to add a touch of color in your home but unfortunately, their plastic pots leave a lot to be desired. Rather than replant them into a prettier pot, I like to wrap them up in something. Iāve usedĀ book pages to wrap potsĀ but today I decided to create shabby chic garden pots by wrapping them in cut-up tea towels.
You can add a bit of color to your shabby chic garden pots by tying them up with colored bakerās twine.
First, measure the diameter of the plastic garden pot and cut a length of a thin tea towel so that it slightly overlaps when wrapped around the pot. Also size the fabric so thatās slightly larger height-wise. I used inexpensive white dish towels that I purchased from Target for just a few dollars.
I folded the fabric over at the top to give it a little more interest. I purposely left the edges a bit ragged as opposed to sewing a hem. It adds to the shabby chic look ā¦ and it means I donāt have to do any sewing ā¦ an added bonus!
Then I wrapped various colored bakerās twine around each pot, which keeps the fabric in place. Since the garden pots have holes in the bottom, I made sure not to wrap the fabric underneath the pot.
Making these shabby chic garden pots took just minutes to complete and now I donāt have to look at the ugly, plastic pots.
This was a quick transformation that was easy on the pocketbook!
