A member of the bird family Thraupidae is the golden-crowned tanager. Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela are his countries of origin. These birds mainly consume seeds, fruits, nectar and floral components as food. They hunt insects because they are an omnivorous species. They are distributed on opposite sides of the Peruvian Maraon Valley. They are frequently found in moist upland forests in the subtropics and/or tropics.
