“Brighten your space effortlessly with this Easy Springtime Centerpiece in Yellow and Aqua. 🌼💙 #SpringDecor #HomeInspiration”
It’s time to celebrate! The snow is almost gone!! Not only that, but I heard it’s supposed to be 60 degrees on Sunday! It was even pleasant enough to take a walk outside with hubby and we saw about 20 robins in the field looking for worms. This inspired me to play around with some items I had at home to create a pretty yellow and aqua springtime centerpiece.
This springtime centerpiece is one of the fastest I’ve ever put together.
And I was able to create it with stuff I already had on hand … even better!
I gathered together all my aqua tinted bottles, grabbed some wide burlap ribbon, and pretty silk yellow blooms.
When I create a centerpiece, I first decide my color scheme … then everything kind of falls into place.
First I ran my burlap runner down the center of the table.
I used a cream colored burlap ribbon to create a lighter, softer look.
When I arrange things, I pretty much just eye them in a pattern that looks good to me.
If you count the bottles, you’ll see I didn’t follow the rule of using an odd number of items.
Now comes the fun part of adding the yellow blooms!
I used my wire cutters to shorten stems as needed.
I thought the bottles would look pretty with a bit of yellow tucked inside.
Who says the flowers should only be seen outside of their vase?
This reminded me of the orchids that were placed inside the vases at my daughter’s wedding.
I laid some of the blooms atop the burlap ribbon to add more color on the dining table.
Normally I don’t use silk flowers or plants …
… but these were pretty and dainty so I used them for this easy springtime centerpiece.
I love my vintage aqua bottles and hope to find more this year at the flea markets.
I found several of these at last year’s Country Living Fair in Ohio.
Now that my springtime centerpiece is done, all that’s left to do is set the table!
